Résumé

In this Ph. D. thesis, an indirect double compression system or cascade plant operating with CO2 as a low temperature fluid is analyzed theoretically and experimentally, because it is one of the potential candidates to be used in centralized commercial refrigeration applications, since it is in agreement with the F‐gas, has higher performance than other alternative systems and the fluid distributed to low temperature services is of low GWP. The study carried out begins with a theoretical analysis about the selection of the refrigerant to be used in the high temperature cycle, according to the F‐gas requirements. Following, the experimental test bench, designed to operate with the combination of fluids R134a/CO2, is detailed. And finally, the experimental evaluation of the plant is presented for an evaporating temperature range from ‐45 to ‐25°C and for a condensing one from 30 to 50°C.
