Resumo
The aim of this thesis is to provide tools to power transformers managers, to facilitate the evaluation of these machines from the point of view of the energy efficiency. First, the current context of implementation of European Regulation 548/2014, of 21 May 2014, is evaluated. This Regulation sets minimum levels of efficiency in power transformers. Thereafter, it intends to amend one of the tools currently used to determine the state of degradation of the transformer: Health indices. It has been considered that one of the most important variables in the dielectric paper deterioration is the temperature at which it is exposed, which depends on the load index and consequently on the efficiency of the machine. Therefore, this thesis develops a methodology for determining the hot spot temperature of paper that wraps the windings, depending on the load index.
