Abstract
The Galician rural nobility occupies an essential part during the development of agrarian economy in Ancien Regime. Its role as group of rentiers, together with its share in some activities more enterprising than the detraction of the agrarian income -such as the sale of textile goods retail or loan on a small scale- are essential aspects we focus on in this work, situated in the old province of Mondoñedo, through the monograph of the hidalgo D. Blas Maria Rubiños.
