Resumo
The objective of this work is the determination of the thermophysical and viscoelastic profiles of nanofluids obtained from the dispersion of exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets. With this aim, the thermal and electrical conductivities, and a wide rheological profile has been experimentally determined for this type of nanofluids. The influence of chemical surface characterization on this type of smart fluids has been tested, and thus the optimal conditions of surface oxidation were determined first, and then the modification on the studied experimental properties profile of the nanofluids was determined. This chemical functionalization procedure has shown a remarkable potential to change the nanofluid properties, thus allowing to tune its behaviour according to the technical requirements of their use as heat exchange fluids in different industrial applications.
