Resumo
The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of economic crises, and in particular its financial aspect on the management of financial institutions. Based on the concept of "gap" of banking management, defined as the difference between credits and deposits, will check the effect that an economic crisis has in the financial field, and more specifically in the banking system. The implementation of thumb, through measuring the values of the variables of Credit and Deposit Spanish global financial system, allow drawing conclusions avalan distortion that suffered financial institutions engaged in a process of crisis.
