Resumo

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) are changing, to some extent, the idea of Education since they convey interesting methodological innovations and can relativize, although not question completely, the central role of Universities in the transmission of knowledge. Currently, Universities are designing part of its strategy of virtualization and internationalization with the support of these courses that allow a very high number of students to enroll. In the present work, we will make a description of the main features of these courses; then, we will make a proposal for a MOOC designed for acquisition of vocabulary in a second language. We will use the semantic networks Wordnet and Babelnet in a learning context where a non-native student of Galician language aims to learn its vocabulary. The ontological organization of these networks, and the fact of being based on sinonymy, allows the definition of lexical fields and its systematic comprehension.
