Abstract

The positive effects of technological and organizational innovation on economic performance of companies it is the main factor that motivates the decisión to adopt new technologies or to implant practices associated with High Performance Work System (HPWS). The aim of this paper is to research if the variation in performance of the companies can is associated with the use and adoption of technologies of advanced manufacture and with the innovative practices of organization of the work and management of human resources. In this paper we combined the postulates handled in research in human resources and contributions that can complement the aboye mentioned perspective from some organization theories. The results indicate that the companies accompany the innovative activities in production with the incorporation of new models of work organization. Direct relation exists between performance of companies and the aboye mentioned practices, nevertheless the combination of the effects of the technological innovation and HPWS only moderates the results corresponding to the productivity of the work
