Abstract
Water represents for the living being in general one of the essential elements for its survival. For man, amongst other uses, it also aports inestimable benefits when used in a diverse therapies. We have knowledge of the use of water as a therapeutical agent since the beginning of time, with ages of maximum splendour (Old Greece and Rome, the 19th century) and others of regrettable abandone. Today we live in a period of great interest in all themes relacioned with balneotherapy and termalism and Physiotherapy should give an answer in this field of actual necessities of the society.
