Abstract

Alpha technique and method of the 7 steps are a differentiated skill model for teaching Nordic Walking (NW). NW consists of walking with specially designed poles and using a precise technique that mobilizes a large part of total muscle mass and has proven beneficial effects on health. Alfa247 ® allows anyone, regardless of skill level or physical condition, become acquainted and learn the art of walking with canes. This new concept of healthy movement was taking its first steps in Spain and probably in the near future to play an important role in the curriculum of school physical education, as it has in other surrounding countries.
