Abstract

The potential impacts of negative events that may affect tourist destinations have multiplied in recent years. Tourism is a fragmented and diverse sector so is difficult to establish the form of crisis management should be carried out. Different models make this task easier with particular focus on the preparation and planning for better coordination between the various actors involved in resolution of the crisis. Collaborative planning is a form of crisis management rarely used and generates a culture committed to solving problems in times of crisis. A series of interviews with responsible tourism in Galicia seems to confirm this insight.
