Abstract
A large number of works devoted to social capital, especially the most recent ones, tend to focus exclusively on its cultural dimension, emphasizing values, beliefs, and attitudes as its main features. However, in the origins of the concept, constant reference was made to its structural essence. The present article highlights this structural component and the need to take it into account for the analysis of its own constitution, its effects, and its reproduction over time.
