Resumo
Walking and watching the city, and his circumstances as an artist, leads the author to collecting urban items such as papers, posters and rubble, and its further using for painting made in the place. This paper presents the resulting series, analyzing them in the context of contemporary art’s most relevant approaches to discarded material recovery. The text shows how the incorporated materials’ connotations determine the pieces’ sense, and how these works of art support diffusion of environmental awareness related to waste management.
