Abstract

Children and new technologies begin their relationship increasingly younger ages. The mobile phones, the consoles, the computers, the music players or the tablets are typical gadgets which usually take part in the child daily life; they are born with them underarm. Although boys and girls don´t have the enough age to understand the complexity of the devices, they are perfectly able to use them, intuitively, naturally, instinctively. Until now, TV has been the favourite media of the smallest of the house, but as the human trend marks, we usually believe that innovations or new competitors in the media field always push the pre-existing to fall in the failure or to disappear. In this way, this article tries to meditate and deepen n the concepts of ‘digital convergence’ and ‘child audience’ describing the results of a poll replied by 10/11 years olds children who answered questions in relation with their internet use. Definitely, we are looking to check if the infancy is an online user of contents initially designed for other media and if their internet consumption modifies the time that children spend watching TV.
