Abstract

This article examines the concepts of behavioral and emotional self-regulation, situational controllability, anticipation and prefactual thoughts on the optimistic and pessimistic personalities. The final purpose of this theoretical reviewis to stress the importance of positive emotion in shaping the professional future of the social educator. The results of our research carried out at the Campus Ourense corroborate this statement. Thus, we establish discrimination between optimistic and pessimistic personalities considering the following variables: expectations, internal factors of anticipation, internal factors of prefactual thinking, situational controllability and task solving fragments.
