Zusammenfassung
The empirical analysis of gender asymmetries in di¤erent social spheres has thrived in recent years due, in part, to the availability of new micro-data sets. However, the conclusions of these studies could be misleading if there are systematic di¤erences between the female and male nonresponse rates to these surveys. In this letter I report some evidence that suggests the existence of gender asymmetries in the non-responses rate to the Spanish Time Use Survey 2002-03 and 2009-10. Moreover, I find that the non-response is non-ignorable in selected outcomes of interest.
