Resumo
This article presents a study of a traditional Galician house situated in the town of Ponteareas (Pontevedra, Galicia). The basic objective is to glimpse the morphological characteristics of this traditional house from its origins (at least from the nineteenth century) to the present day, analyzing the adaptations and transformations suffered in the middle of the twentieth century due to industrialization, with the introduction of new construction elements such as brick, cement or concrete blocks, serving as a paradigmatic example of a cultural change of the rural Galician society of this time.
