Análisis de la organización y satisfacción de los docentes responsables de la celebración del Día de la Educación Física en la Calle 2017 en Galicia

Abstract

Sedentary lifestyle and obesity continues to grow in the world, especially among young people. The Day of Physical Education on the Street is an event that claims among its main objectives physical education for the acquisition of active and healthy habits throughout life, but also an opportunity to make visible its current situation in the education system and schools. Through a questionnaire it was tried to know the opinion and organization that the teachers developed of the event. Galicia registered 19 centers, of which the teachers responsible for 8 primary schools and 6 secondary schools, centers that account for 0.65% of the Galician students, were enrolled. With the main collaboration of the city council of each locality, the schools celebrated the meeting mostly in a nearby downtown square, doing activities for almost two hours, which had been prepared with an average advance of 4 weeks. The satisfaction among teachers was high with the information and resources at their disposal, but they emphasize the importance of the collaborations obtained and the support for the next education, especially in the procedures, communication and visual supports; and also consider including the DEFC in the regional school calendar.
