Resumo

In this descriptive study we seek to know the cognitive processes of the PASS model (Planning, Attention, Successive and Simultaneous) that the Slight or Educable Mental Faulty students use, with the objective of creating educational helps that stimulate their capacity to learn. We have selected 31 youths of public centers, with IQ among 50 and 75 and ages among 9 and 18 years. To all they were applied the Cognitive Assessment System CAS designed to evaluate the cognitive processes PASS. According to the statistical data we can say that the students with Slight Mental Deficiency obtain in Planning the lowest punctuation, and in Successive Prosecution the highest.
