Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze all published articles on the Balanced Scorecard in health or written by Spanish authors in Spanish during the period 1992-2009, both years included (eighteen in total). To carry out this task, we analyze, first, the evolution until the present situation in research in this area. Second, try to connect the theoretical point of view related to the Balanced Scorecard and empirical experiences in hospitals that tried to make this tool running. Finally, we get an organized compilation of all papers published in Spain and Spanish written by foreign magazines with a very current theme: Balanced Scorecard in health.
