Resumo

Pruritus is one of the most frequent signs in veterinary dermatology consultation, produced by many underline causes mainly allergy diseases. Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disease, with a chronic course and easy recurrence; whose prevalence is increasing nowadays. There is no definitive curative therapy for control pruritus; traditional effective treatment is with corticosteroids, with its known side effects, therefore use the lowest possible doses is preferable. Therefore other drugs with good response against pruritus us like oclacitinib and cyclosporine. The aim of this study suggest treatment with thermal peloids to improve these dermatological processes. Peloid, as a natural resource, has a clear scientific evidence of therapeutic efficacy in human medicine, without previous studies in veterinary.
