Resumo

Neuropsychological disabilities have been recognized as important non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of cognitive therapy in these patients. A systematic review was carried out in February 2017 in the following databases: Cinahl, Medline, Pubmed and SPORTDiscus. We obtained 13 randomized controlled articles that applied different types of cognitive therapy in patients with Parkinson's disease, assessing the effects of this type of treatment. A research analysis was carried out in terms of the design, sample, psychological treatment, objectives, treatment duration and results obtained. Almost all cognitive interventions achieved significant positive changes. However, further research is needed to identify which cognitive techniques are the most appropriate for each aspect.
