Abstract

In this article we analyse the evolution in Galician foreign trade between the years 2000 and 2005. We confirm that, even though some of the traditional imbalances continue to persist, widesweeping changes took place during the period. Amongst these we may single out the substantial in the degree of openness, the specialisation of trade in sectors open to strong international competition, and the existence of a timid sectoral and geographical diversification of trade.
