Abstract

This paper presents the process used to determine the statistical uncertainty associated with eight different properties of solid fuels for cocombustion tests of moisture and ash. Provides a map of sampling to determine the sample sizes in the light of the uncertainties that are considered acceptable. The values obtained show that despite the heterogeneity of the fuel itself, a wellplanned campaign of samples can extrapolate the properties of thesamples from the entire lot with an uncertainty controlled and quantified
