Resumo
Usually the concept of centre of gravity is introduced froma theoretical basis in lessons of basic physics and severalmathematical formulas are demonstrated to calculate the centre ofgravity of systems or bodies with simple geometry. However, in thecontext of a class of physics applied to biomechanics, it would bemore didactic to relate this concept to the human body; although, inthis case, theoretical calculus are quite complex for an elementarycourse. Here we describe a simple laboratory lesson to calculate thecentre of gravity of a human body and to relate this concept to praxisof biomechanics.
