Abstract
The potential impacts that might affect tourism have increased in recent years. A crisis is any unexpected event that affects traveler confidence in a destination and affects the ability to keep on operating. Safe and security is increasingly relevant in choosing to visit a destination and it has become one of the most decisive reasons. Therefore, crisis management is necessary to keep confidence .Safe and security has become in an indicator of the competitiveness. For this reason, Galicia should strengthen the image as a safe destination as one of its main attributes. This work was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews with several experts in different fields of tourism, mainly in the cities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela and shows that safe and security is an underdeveloped resource in tourism planning.
