Abstract

In this paper, a complete example of a company-university colaboration is presented. It begins by raising the thermal problem in manufacturing luminaires with LED technology. Through the development of a mathematical model and its numerical simulation using software based on finite elements, a solution is presented. In addition, the prototype proposed by modeling is constructed and it can be concluded that this model provides a accurate solution to the initial planned problem. Finally, the transit to the market is made by the production of such device and continue with the necessary studies to be able to optimize the initial design. With this work we want to motivate the university - industry relations.
