Zusammenfassung
“Biomass" is the name to call those organic materials generated from a biologic process. The interest of the energetic utilization is perfectly justified when we talk about products that can be considered as wastes, because they can not be used for others uses, at least from an economic and technical point of view. This paper analyses the historical evolution of using wastes to obtain energy. The author explains the main sources and the basic process of use. This will help to understand the problems and the future of the bioenergetic sector.
