Abstract

The signs languages have not already caused the interest of people, as other linguistic branches. The expectation of this research is to establish the basic lexicon in the signs languages, not collected in the general dictionaries of linguistic. In order to create this corpus, I have taken as reference the Dictionary of applied linguistic and teaching of languages by J.C Richards and John & Heidi Plant. There are two reason of this choice: first of all, it is the most accessible for the Spanish speakers and, secondly, because it is understood as a work aimed to students and to specialists of linguistic and teaching of languages. The first point to take in consideration has been the fact of reading bibliography about the subject, specially, related to Spanish works. From that, I have chosen a basic corpus, to contrast my own words with those that appeared in the Dictionary. Finally, the result have been this study, the definition and the organization of all terms according to the criterion.
