Abstract
The article describes an ancient southern connection of Arosa Bay (Galicia/Spain) with the open sea and considers its possible formation and geological evolution. It also studies the historical implications of this very old route, which would allow access to the Ulla river and hence to Santiago of Compostela and interior of Galicia. Archaeological remains and documents are also considered
