The fishing guilds have a long history in Spain and play still a main role in artisanal fishing context. In this work weanalyze the characteristics of the processes of adaptation of the guilds to the new framework. We place particularemphasis on the dynamics of the guilds towards the problems of fishing sustainability and towards theorganizational changes in their structure
