Abstract

The study of the gender gaps that may exist in rural areas, especially with regard to the workplace, requires taking into account the reality surrounding the environment, different from that present in the urban area. In this paper, this reality is described in which gender stereotypes are deeply rooted. In this context, the main gender gaps will be reported, among others, the ownership and management of agricultural holdings. The paper concludes with some proposals for their correction.
