Resumo

Forensic therapy constitutes an auxiliary element of justice framed in the paradigm of therapeutic justice. In this article, we present the bases that demonstrate the need for this resource and the basic associated characteristics, as well as the differential aspects with respect to other possible interventions. Finally, we propose basic guidelines to be considered by the professionals who assume these interventions.
