Resumo

This paper explores the application of artificial intelligence to the assessment of live intralingual subtitles. Following an initial introduction on the current role of artificial intelligence-based technology on language processing, the main features and workflows involved in live subtitling are discussed. A new application called NER Buddy is then presented, along with an analysis of its initial performance in the (semi) automatic assessment of live subtitles.
