Resumen

The GEOMA Research group from the University of Vigo implements a solution to improve the knowledge of the sediment dynamics, the stability of the ecosystem substratum, and its response to the predicted Climate Change outcome (INTERM). The INTERM solution is based on sedimentological monitoring of sandbanks at specific locations of clam exploitation by foot in the southeast margin of Ría de Arousa (Galicia, Spain). This dataset includes morphological monitoring of selected shellfish sandbanks, aiming to define their configuration and to explore their evolution through time. The dataset includes three locations with significant shellfishing activity ruled by three different shellfisher´s guilds. Camaxes and Xastelas beaches, at the east coast of Arousa Island, the southeast margin of Lombos do Ulla estuary (Carril), and part of the sandbank referred as Sarrido (Cambados). From October 2022 and July 2024, topography of the subaerial and intertidal site was measured using a Trimble real-time kinematic global positioning system (RTK_DGPS) on foot. Source coordinate system is WGS84 UTM Zone 29N.
