Doctor by the Universidade de Vigo with the thesis DualSPHysics towards high performance computing using SPH technique 2014. Supervised by Dr. Moncho Gómez Gesteira, Dr. Alejandro Jacobo Cabrera Crespo.

Dr José M. Domínguez Alonso is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Vigo, Ourense in Spain. His research activity is mainly focused on computational fluid dynamics using HPC (High Performance Computing) and its application to coastal engineering. I have been working for the last twelve years on accelerating numerical models such as SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) for GPUs and clusters collaborating with people from University of Manchester, Flanders Hydraulics Research in Belgium and other prestigious scientific institutions. He is the main developer of the DualSPHysics code (www.dual.sphysics.org), one of the most efficient and advanced SPH codes for fluid simulation. In addition, he is also involved in the development of other well-known models such as Iber (www.iberaula.es) a two-dimensional hydraulic model for the simulation of free surface flow in rivers and estuaries and MoorDyn+ an open-source dynamic mooring line model.
