Zusammenfassung
The internationalization process of Higher Education is one of the most important phenomena in the last years. Focusing on Socrates-Erasmus program, the aim of this work is triple. Firstly, we describe the main characteristics and trends of the international mobility of the Spanish university system. Secondly, we determine what Regional university systems make an important effort to develop the internationalization process. Thirdly, we describe the degree of European mobility of the universities. The main results will allow us to establish the worldwide position of both the Regional university systems and the universities as well as to design several recommendations to improve their current situation
