Abstract
The bases of business economic efficiency have evolved during last decades. Nowadays, the resource based view of the firm theory is the one that better explains economic efficiency. The present research studies the keys that have helped high profitability firms to reach their distinction, looking for identifying their main bases, the drivers utilized and the strategic ambit that support the high levels of profitability in those firms.
