Resumo

In this paper we present a self-developed (EN-ES) bilingual vocabulary of assistive products used in occupational therapy for people with neuromuscular diseases, as well as the criteria and methodology followed in its making. The term assistive products is used to refer to items and technologies that increase the functional capabilities of people affected by neuromuscular. diseases. The objective of our study is twofold. On the one hand, we want to contribute to the dissemination of terminology in a field that is currently in its early stages and for which there is still very little documentation available in Spanish. On the other hand, we aim to produce resources that are useful for translators, interpreters and scientific or technical writers.
