Abstract
Slope inestability is a common phenomenon in Galicia because of human activities and structures. We´ve studied a landslide on the railway. The use of explosives was necessary to remove the slope, with a great risk for railway equipment. We prepaired a controled blast to minimize vibrations and throws of stones. This way,rail traffic interruptions were less than three hours.
