Abstract

The gravity and repercussion of the abuse of the alcohol and other drugs in our society is unquestionable. But the most alarming phenomenon at the social level is the existing association between the consumption of drugs, the nights of march and the driving cars. The WHO (2004) advises the urgent adoption of preventive and educational measures that should avoid or reducing the number of accidents related to this reason. The absence of self-criticism and conscience of the danger that the consumption of drugs generates in the driver and the lack of individual responsibility in topics of consumption, constitutes a sufficient motive of worry and of search of alternative solutions and of intervention with preventive character in the youth, age where major probability of risk exists. We think that the step of the young men along institutions and centers, there be read autoschools, of educational and formative character, it is a good place and moment in order that they receive formative clear and realistic information about the effects of the consumption of drugs and his relation with traffic accidents.
