Resum

Eating disorders widely affect the population and more specifically, vulnerable populations such as children and adolescents. Social Work must consider monitoring these disorders, which are also influenced by sociocultural factors and seriously affect the quality of life of patients and families. As a result of this reality, this work aims to serve as a practical approach to social intervention for eating disorders that is currently being developed in Sweden. Prior to the development of the topic, the current Swedish reality and the present scenario of its welfare state have been contextualized. As a central point, different social interventions have been detailed to address eating behavior disorders in Sweden, these results have been synthesized through a general outline of the most relevant findings. Finally, some of the most notable differences regarding the monitoring of eating disorders in Spain are discussed, as well as the need for results such as those described here to illustrate the social intervention of eating disorders in our context.
