Abstract

Energy consumption worldwide increases in the coming years. Considering that the residential sector has a significant contribution to the total consumption, are being sought strategies to save energy at home. This article presents a literature review on systems encamined to save electricity in the home energy management is performed. The relevance of respondents work has been identified through the correlation of the impact factor indices. The authors cited in this article describe different system configurations energy management in residential environments, making clarity on the requirements and challenges are a technical level, but it is also important to evaluate these solutions from the point of view of the users and their behavior in these technologies. More than two hundred researchers from around the world represented in the publications addressed in this literature review agree that power management systems in the home represent a viable alternative savings.
