Abstract

THE ANALYSIS OF THE IDEA ABOUT THE DIVERSITY THROUGH PROVERBS AND SET PHRASES AS A RESOURCE IN TEACHERS� TRAINING Since communication is so important in the process of teaching and learning, we have thought in a way to objectify the content of proverbs and set phrases about diversity. It is obvious that, too often we use them in a subjective and general way to describe and judge people and give opinions about them. Taking into account that research is a strategic resource to know and improve reality, we try with this article to get closer to the theory that supports the importance of human diversity. We also analyze the every-day meaning we assign to proverbs and set phrases to talk about diversity. As a result of the analysis, some conclusions are drawn. Suggestions are provided aimed at eliminating the use of proverbs and set phrases that deteriorate social image of diversity
