Iglesias Pérez

Ana Iglesias Pérez is a PhD student in Translation and Paratranslation and predoctoral researcher at University of Vigo. She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Masters in International Trade, both at the same university. She belongs to the Research Group Estudos Literarios e Culturais, Tradución e Interpretación (BiFeGa). In 2023, she got the Premio Extraordinario de Fin de Grado from University of Vigo and the Premio Fin de Carrera from the Government of Galicia. After defending her Master's project entitled ‘The role of the translator-interpreter in international trade’ in 2023, she decided to continue her research by starting her PhD. Her doctoral research focuses on translation in international trade in the Galician wine sector. The main objective of her PhD, which is still in its early stages, is to learn about the role, tasks and tools of the translator and interpreter in the internationalisation of Galician wine companies.
