  • - Human language, Spanish language, acquisition and learning of languages, grammar and linguistic changes. Historical linguistics, discourse analysis. Languages in contact in the Iberian space.
  • - Sociology of translation: analysis and description of the intercultural aspects of linguistic mediation; analysis and description of translation from and into minority languages. Heterolingualism and literary self-translation.
  • - Spanish Sign Language (LSE), translation and interpretation of spoken and signed languages.
  • - Specialized communication and translation: analysis and description of specialized genres, with a particular focus on the scientific, legal and economic fields, and on the most relevant aspects in the translation of this type of genres. Galician-Spanish bilingual lexicography.
  • - Translation and free software: analysis and promotion of free software in the translator training; promotion of cooperation projects between students, teachers and professional translators and the communities involved in the localization of this type of software.
